Nor did any other mouse. I guess their little bodies dessicate quickly enough not to smell to human noses. This one sat long enough that it had two maggots and one empty pupa case on it. <br /><br />I should e-mail Kathy Reichs and ask her what that means. Funny, we were talking about that last night.

I guess taste and touch make sense in the "if you're close enough to taste or touch it, it's too late" version of evolution, but you'd think we'd have kept smell as an important factor in our evolutionary unconscious.<br /><br />All of that to say, Child One did not notice the smell of said critter?
