You know the English proficiency test that all students applying to Journalism have to take? Well, I will never forget what a “sloop” is for the rest of my life, because it was on the test!! I am not nautically inclined, so I guessed. Yarr.
I know what a sloop is because I played a lot of Sid Meier’s Pirates when I was a dip student.
